Catherine works with fused glass — a process of layering cut glass and firing it in a kiln until the pieces melt permanently together. The result is colour and texture you can't get any other way.

Her pieces are bold on purpose. Large confident forms, rich palette combinations, shapes that catch the light differently depending on where you stand. Some are made to be used every day; others are purely there to be looked at. All are made individually, by hand, in her studio in Gimli.

Catherine opens her studio each year on the WAVE Studio Tour — weekends in June and September. Outside the tour, the studio is by appointment only.
